McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center will provide healthcare information, and 20 area business partners will demonstrate and offer products relevant to those aged 50 and better.
The Senior Circle program, which was established at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in 2009, promotes healthy living through health information and social activities, and provides local merchant discounts for its members. Weekly group activities may include video viewing, Tai Chi, a walking group, book group, physician speakers, preparing your household meals at Dinners Done Right and much more.
Members join the group for all kinds of different reasons, such as discounts on prescription drugs, but they retain their memberships because of the camaraderie afforded by the group.
Annual membership in Senior Circle cost $15. Call 541.726.4789 for more information and to sign up.
*Don't let the name fool you -- "Senior Circle" is a health and wellness program for those 50 years and better. Typical weekly activities range from wine tasting trips to exercise and computer classes.
