Registered dietitians at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center provide the following patient services: screening and assessing nutritional needs; developing nutrition therapy plans, providing nutrition education and monitoring patient response to nutrition care.
A registered dietitian is available to provide nutrition care Monday-Friday. On Saturday, Sunday and holidays, a dietitian is on-call.
The Food & Nutrition Services Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The night kitchen provides service to patients, staff and visitors from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Patient food requests are honored 24 hours a day within the limitations of diet orders and availability of foods requested. Wildflowers Cafe, the hospital's on-site restaurant, is open to employees and the public from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
